Sheena Wilkinson

One of Ireland's most acclaimed writers for young people, the multi-award-winning Sheena Wilkinson has published ten novels.

Her first adult novel Mrs Hart's Marriage Bureau (2023), a feminist feelgood exploration of friendship, loneliness, and the unexpected places where we find fulfilment, was described in The Irish Independent as 'riotously funny ...  beautifully authentic ... a gem' and is set in the 1930s.  The Irish Times called it 'A briskly witty delight, reminiscent of the best interwar popular fiction.’ Now Writers Review Publishing will bring the sequel to readers: Miss McVey Takes Charge.

Sheena is an Arts Council of Northern Ireland Major Award holder and a Royal Literary Fund Fellow. She  teaches creative writing in settings ranging from prisons to universities. When she's not writing, she is usually walking in a forest with a lazy greyhound and a naughty terrier.
